On August 14th, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation issued a notice on the issuance of the first batch of group standard project plans for the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation in 2023. The application was organized by the Epoxy Resin Special Committee of the Petrochemical Federation and the Beijing National Chemical New Materials Technology Research Institute, and drafted by Zhilun Ultra Pure Epoxy Resin (Xi'an) Co., Ltd The group standard of "High Purity and Low Chlorine Bisphenol F Epoxy Resin" has successfully passed the project approval review.

Compared with ordinary bisphenol A epoxy resin, high-purity bisphenol A epoxy resin has higher purity, less chlorine content, and therefore has higher thermal stability, mechanical strength, and corrosion resistance. It is more suitable for use in high temperature, high pressure, and high humidity environments. Therefore, it is more used in high-end fields such as packaging materials for electronic components and semiconductor devices, aviation grade composite materials, medical devices, artificial organs, and biomedical materials.

High purity epoxy resin has high requirements for production process and technology, relatively small production capacity, and special application fields. However, its added value is high, and its future market prospects are broad, especially achieving domestic substitution.

The group standards for this project application include 7 items, including "Hydrogenated Bisphenol A Epoxy Resin", "Pultruded Epoxy Resin for Wind Turbine Blades", "Hand laid Epoxy Resin for Wind Turbine Blades", "Itaconic Acid Based Epoxy Resin", "Methylcyclohexane Diamine for Industrial Use", "Grinding Wheel Adhesive", and "Methyl Isopentyl Ketone for Industrial Use". To ensure the scientific, reasonable, comprehensive, and operability of the standards, and to ensure the timely completion of standard projects, We sincerely invite all relevant enterprises and institutions to participate in the preparation of the above standards.
